Obituary of David C. Peters

David C. Peters, age 81 of the New Gretna section of Tuckerton, died peacefully Sunday, October 11 at his home. Mr. Peters was a machinist and worked for Proctor & Gamble in Staten Island for over 25 years. He had been active with the Staten Island Little League as a coach for many years. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. Born in Staten Island , he was a life long resident there until moving to Tuckerton 2 years ago. He was predeceased by his wife Grace Decker in 1997, a sister Janet Richards in 2003 and a grandson, Patrick Daniel Peters in 1991. He is survived by: Three sons: Dennis of Tuckerton David of Rahway Daniel of Holmes , NY Brother: Robert Peters of Ocean Grove Three sisters: Frances Baker of VA Polly Donlan of KA Gretchen Werner of NY Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River . Funeral services will be conducted 10am Thursday at the funeral home followed by entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park , Toms River .
