Mary Sarrecchia, 78, Whiting, NJ. Born in Newark to Leonard and Marie Reidmiller, Mary raised her family in Kearny and worked in retail management before retiring to the Jersey Shore area where she died peacefully at home on March 7, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was loved and admired by everyone she met. She was brave and strong �" a true survivor. She was a caring, compassionate, witty, fun-loving, kick-ass, beautiful woman with a great sense of humor who always put others first. She will be sorely missed.
She is survived by husband Anthony and 6 children: Dianne Farrelly, and husband Ben; Deborah Bowman, and husband Robert; Denise Batton, and husband Lyle; Edward Warrell, and wife Kathryn; David Werrell, and girlfriend Mary; Anthony Sarrecchia, Jr., and wife Jo. Mary has 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Frank and Richard Reidmiller; and sister Joan Siegel.
A Celebration of Life will be held March 24 between 12:30 to 3:30 pm at the Shark River Hills Fire Co, 200 Brighton Ave., Neptune, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the JDRF in her great-grandson's name, Kyle Kromm.
