Obituary of Robert A. Treihart

Robert A. Treihart, 79 of Toms River passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Robert worked as a scale repair technician with Dickie Scales of Kenilworth and Toledo Scale of Florida. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Born and raised in Irvington, he was a Special Police Officer with the Irvington Police Dept. for many years. He enjoyed singing with the local Barber Shop Quartet and he loved to bowl. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Marilyn McGovern Treihart; two daughters, Karen O'Donnell and husband Daniel of Roxbury Twp., and Linda Palombi and husband David of Bridgewater Twp.; and his 5 loving grandchildren, April, Ryan, Gina, Michelle, Dominic. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 to 4 pm at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A funeral service will be offered 10:30 Sunday at the funeral home.
