Obituary of Barry Eakins

Barry Eakins, 69 of Greenbriar Woodlands, Toms River, passed away Thursday, October 04, 2012. Barry owned and operated Marshall Opticians in Pompton Lakes for many years. He was a member of the National Opticians Assoc., and the NJ State Board of Opticians. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Born in Paterson he lived in Pompton Lakes, Orange Park, Fl., and Lavallette before moving to Toms River 8 years ago. He was predeceased by his brother John Eakins. Barry is survived by his wife Jane Maurer Eakins; his sister in law, Karla Eakins; niece, Kim Burks and nephew Sean Eakins. Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River, Saturday, Oct. 6, from 2 to 5 pm with a funeral service at 4 pm.
