Obituary of Antoinette Nicole Hoey

"On July 6, 2021, Antoinette Hoey (nee Maresca) of Bayville, NJ, passed away after dealing with deteriorating health conditions. The daughter of Colleen M. Maresca (nee Bryant) and Albert A. Maresca Sr., Antoinette grew up in Bayville, NJ, and went on to spend most of her adult life in her hometown. Professionally, Antoinette served in various service industry positions before obtaining employment with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). She enjoyed early success in her career and achieved numerous professional accommodations to include being honored as “New Employee of the Year.” In a relatively short time, Antoinette’s career progressed as she moved on from her initial position as a medication technician to serving as a health services assistant and procurement technician at Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix, NJ. Eventually, Antoinette would move on from what she considered to be her BOP home and accepted a promotion in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Office as a Financial Program Specialist. While Antoinette enjoyed success in her career, her greatest accomplishment in life was serving as a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Thomas Hoey. While they were only married for a short time before the Lord took him to Heaven, Antoinette spent every second of every day attempting to seize every moment they could spend together. Antoinette truly believed God sent her to Tom, so he would be able to enjoy pure and everlasting love as he battled what would become terminal cancer. While his passing was tragic, the love he and Antoinette shared was nothing short of eternal. Antoinette is survived by her father, mother, brother (Albert A. Maresca Jr.), sister-in-law (Kelly A. Williams Maresca, and nephew (Aiden W. Maresca). Antoinette always considered her brother to be her role model. Her interest in a law enforcement career was inspired by watching Albert commit himself to a career in public service. Aside from Tom, her nephew was the absolute love of her life; she loved Aiden more than life itself. As an homage to the careers of Tom and Antoinette, the family asks for those that deem it appropriate donate to the Correctional Peace Officers Association. The family will be hosting a celebration of life ceremony (1PM-5PM) at the home of Antoinette on July 24, 2021.
