Obituary of Joyce K. De Martin

Mrs. Joyce De Martin of Toms River passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021, after a long illness from multiple sclerosis. Even though she was in a wheelchair for over 12 years, she was an avid reader and loved eating, talking, shopping, and garage sales. She also collected pink flamingos and Barbie’s. Above all, she treasured her family, and always looked forward to family time, and holidays where they could all be together. She was devoted to her husband and two sons. She valued them each for their own special individual personalities. She was born in Passaic to the late John and Betty Kotlaba. She grew up in Carlstadt and East Rutherford and lived for many years in Moonachie. In fact, she met her husband, Evan, in Moonachie where they both worked at Wechsler Coffee Corporation, and together they moved to Toms River where they were longtime residents. She is pre-deceased by her son Braden who passed away in November 2019 and survived by her husband Evan, and her son Jonathan Chiodo of Moonachie, from her ex-husband Anthony Chiodo along with many relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., in Toms River on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 5 - 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 10:00 am at Kedz Funeral Home followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 56 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ.
