Obituary of Jerry Benezra

Jerry Benezra, 79, of Toms River, and Barefoot Bay Florida passed away on Wednesday November 2, 2022 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Jerry was born and raised in the Bronx, NY where he graduated from William Howard Taft High School. Jerry served his country in the United States Air Force during war and peacetime for 22 years. He was an avid NY Yankee and Denver Broncos fan. He was a romantic at heart who thoroughly enjoyed watching movies- which he would often quote. Jerry will be remembered for the amazing person he was. He loved his family wholeheartedly, and would give anyone the shirt off his back without thinking twice about it. He is predeceased by his wife, Joyce Benezra. Jerry is survived by his children; David Jeranek, Vivian Rodriquez, April Osborne, Ramona O’Neill, Stacy Benezra, Melody Benezra-Krey; 15 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren; his sister, Frida Brous, and nephews and nieces. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 5 – 7 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ.
