Obituary of David W. Jones

Dave W. Jones, 77, of Toms River passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Dave was born in Newark, NJ. He was raised in Monmouth County where he graduated from Wall High School. After High school, Dave served his country in the United States Air Force. Having completed his enlistment with distinction, he was honorably discharged and returned to New Jersey. Soon after his homecoming, Dave would meet and go on to marry Madeline Farrell in 1969, who would be his wife for the next 53 years. A devoted husband and father, he was an active member of Bayview Baptist Church in Bayville, NJ. Dave was a proud and capable tradesman for over 20 years, working as a member of the Boilermakers Union, Local 28. He was an expert craftsman and was often called upon by family and friends alike for his expertise in building and home improvement. In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by his two children, Kerry and Amy, their husbands Mike Forbes and Joe Marz and his three grandchildren, Madeline, David, and Ella. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, from 11 – 12 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River. Interment will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park, 4201 NJ-33, Tinton Falls, NJ.
