Obituary of Lisa A. Seluchins

Lisa A. Seluchins, 56 of Toms River, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022. Lisa was a life long resident of Toms River. After graduating from Toms River High School East, she earned her degrees in Education and Child Psychology. As a stay at home mom, Lisa was an involved parent at her daughters schools serving as Treasurer for HS South Indian Bandwagon, President of West Dover Elementary PTO, Board member of Intermediate South PTO, and fundraising chair for the Scholastic Book Fair. Lisa decided to go back to work and three years ago became a teacher at the Westminister Nursery School, a position she truly loved. She was predeceased by her parents, Demetrio and Ruthann Surace. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Richard; two daughters, Chloe and Paige Seluchins; brother, Demetrio Surace; sister Christine Seluchins and husband David; nephew Gabriel Surace; mother in law June Seluchins; and aunt Dyann Cosenza and her husband Joe; and many cousins. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 509 Hooper Ave., Toms River, Wednesday at 11:30am. Donations to American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s, or the American Heart Assoc. would be appreciated. Please wear something red in support of Heart Disease awareness.
