Obituary of Joseph Magyar

Joseph Magyar, 76, of Toms River passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Joseph was born and raised in Port Reading, NJ. He graduated from Woodbridge High School. Joseph was a proud Veteran who served in the United States Army during Vietnam. After his honorable discharge from the military, he worked for George Dapper Bus Company for 15 years before retiring. After retirement Joseph enjoyed tinkering and building things, he was quite the handyman. He had a big heart and smile and was always willing to help others. Most importantly he loved family gatherings, and loved his role as “Poppy Joe” to the grandkids that he loved ever so dearly. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Starlotte; daughter, Amanda and her husband Rich and Katrina and her husband Matt; son, Michael; grandchildren, Juliana, Dominic, Amelia, and Vincent, and many nieces and nephews. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
