Obituary of Gary M. Leshko

Gary Leshko, 69 of Toms River was born September 23rd, 1953 in Newark, NJ and was raised in Newark, NJ with his parents and five siblings. He trained as a camera repair technician and dedicated over 25 years of his career to the film camera industry. He was a staple at the Warren Flea Market on Sunday mornings for many summers. He married Evelyn Pollick in 1978 and bought their home in Springfield in 1981. He celebrated the birth of his daughter in 1987 and his grandson in 2021. The joker of the family, he always had a positive attitude and a wisecracking comment to add. He lived for a good thrift shop and estate sale, to add to his “collections.” Most weekends could find him at the diner or Chinese buffet. He struggled with diabetes for the past several years and on Wednesday, March 29,2023, he passed quietly in his home in Toms River, NJ. Gary is predeceased by his father, Michael (MJ) Leshko, mother, Joan Leshko (Clause), and siblings, Brian Leshko, Wayne Leshko, and Sharon Szylar. Gary is survived by his sisters, Michelle Cappello and Lisa Leshko, daughter, Christina, grandson Corvo, several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
