Obituary of William H. Anderson
Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
William Henry Anderson, (74) passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2023. He was born October 14, 1948 to William “Arnold” and Virginia and grew up alongside his older sister Carol and younger brothers Ron, Eddie, and Jimmy in Millstone, NJ.
His hard-working and committed nature had him involved in many activities. Most notably, he served as the Vice President for the family business, the Anderson Bus Company; as Fire Chief for Freehold Township Fire Department; driver for Freehold Township Board of Education; and over 50 years of firewood and snow plowing services for the community.
In his free time, he was an avid huntsman, fisherman, and drummer for local bands. His love for oldies music tied into his passion for classic cars - his own being a ‘56 Chevy that he worked on with his brothers and son for more than 30 years. He also loved NASCAR, drag-racing, and any other event that he could spend his time with family.
He was forever proud of his children - Kathy, Bill, and Jim - touting them as “his greatest accomplishments” and was grateful for every moment spent with his three grandchildren - Rachelle, William, and Harper.
Bill was a strong-willed and selfless man with an enormous heart. His greatest joy was bringing family and friends together, where they all experienced his endless generosity. He was the first person to use his mechanical and handy-man knowledge to fix or build for any family member or friend in need.
Predeceased by his father William, mother Virginia, sister Carol and brother Jimmy. He is survived by his three children Kathy, Bill, and Jim and his wife Nicole, and his children's mother Suzanne. As well as his brothers: Ron and Eddie, their wives Ginny and Kathy, and his grandchildren: Rachelle, William, and Harper.
He will always be remembered for the love he shared with his friends and family. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and honor for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be held at the Immanuel Bible Church, 1244 West Farms Road, Howell, NJ 07731 on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm with a church service offered from 7 – 7:30. Cremation will be private.
