A wonderful person who had a heart of gold. She was the epitome of a Grandma. While I'm sad, I choose to celebrate a century of her life. My love of food can be traced back to her. Amazing to see the energy she had when she was well. Amazing to feel her caring ways. She was loved by more people then anyone can realize. She will never be forgotten. #9F

I will always remember Zia Angelina. She took care of me & my brothers whenever my parents went away. She was such a giving, kind, caring person. Heaven needed another angel. May she rest in peace!

Your unconditional love, laughter, singing and giving heart really had a tremendous impact on my life. Even through the last 8 years as you struggled in the nursing home you managed to laugh, sing, and tell us you loved us. Part of my heart is broken because I will miss you so much, but it is also filled with an amazing love from you. I thank God that we had you in our lives for so long. I will keep singing our songs, keep cooking with love, and caring for others just as you cared for so many. You even fed the pigeons when they landed on your balcony. You walked over two miles to get groceries when you knew company was coming. If you didn’t have something on the stove you ordered Sicilian pizza and brought the owner Italian cookies to thank them for their service. I think almost everyone you knew has something that you crocheted. You waited by the window watching at #9F when you knew we were coming over. You would get upset if we didn’t call when we got home because you wanted to be sure that we arrived safely. Elyse and Maiya will never forget you and they are so thankful to have a great grandmother like you. You were a gift from God to so many…Ti Amo Sempre Bella Mia!

Although I have only known you for 21 years I have seen first hand what strength is. Visiting you in your apartment and at the nursing home was something I'll never forget. Being able to hold your hand while you took your last breath was one of the most peaceful experiences of my life. I know you're already enjoying the Italian feast in heaven but we still miss your cooking down here.

I remember as a little boy in grammar school in Italy I decided to decided to walk from my town to her town after school ended and visit her and have some of her delicious cookies without telling my mom. It took me several hours to get to her house. She gave me a hug after givig me the cookies she told me that I needed to go home because my mom would worry about me. She always treated me with love. I have great loving memories of her. We all will miss you and love you.

Zia Angelina was a most generous and loving woman. My late husband, Jerry and I loved her very much. Can never forget the wonderful times we spent together, with her eagerness to cook her special meals for us and the joy it brought her. She had gifted hands that produced such beautiful hand crocheted items.I have kept the dresses that she made for my little girls over twenty years ago. I have treasured them and they will remain a keepsake of her undividing love. Zia Angelina, you have gone before us to be with Our Lord but you will never be forgotten Our deepest sympathy to the whole family. May Our Lord bring you peace and console your hearts in this time of deep sorrow. Love, Stella, Juliana, and Daniella Marca
