Our grandmother, “Gram” as we called her was a strong, smart, savvy and loving woman. I’ve always looked up to her and admired her strength. My childhood was filled with love, laughter and a million memories at my grandparents house with my cousins and our family. Long days on the beach, riding bikes in the circle, chasing lightning bugs,shopping at Bradley’s, visiting the library weekly, playing beauty parlor, doing your nails, watching I love Lucy, General Hospital and the news with her, vacations to Florida, getting postcards from you are just a few memories I have.
I spent a lot of my childhood with my grandmother and I will never forget the times we shared. They were very special and I am grateful for those times.
Gram loved to talk on the phone and but was an equally good listener. She was always filled with advice,experience and stories that you could relate to.
I’m lucky that I had my grandmother by my side on my wedding day and she got to meet both of my daughters, Madison and Avery. I see so many of her qualities in myself and my kids and I know she’s proud of that.
I love you gram, always have, always will. May you rest in peace reunited with your love, our grandfather, pop.
