Obituary of Robert A. Trotta

Robert Alan Trotta (1950–2024): A Life Remembered On May 10, 2024, Robert Alan Trotta, age 73, departed this earth to continue his eternal journey with God. Born on August 19, 1950, in Newark, NJ, Robert was the son of Vera Trotta (Anastasia) and Pasquale Trotta. In November 1967, Robert enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War until 1971. Upon returning home, he settled in Nutley, NJ, and later Belleville, NJ, with his wife and four children, eventually making Bayville, NJ, their home. Robert was a master carpenter and proudly ran his successful business, “Trotta Custom Home Remodelers”, retiring in the mid 2000’s. Robert was a deeply beloved father, godfather, uncle, brother, and friend. While we lost our beautiful father, many have also lost a loved one and friend in him. Above all, our fathers life was a spiritual journey defined by discovering the Light and Love of Christ within us. He had a thirst for sharing in this Truth and modeled the wonder of Knowing, Believing, and Understanding it. Robert now joins his beloved parents in heaven. He leaves behind the mother of his children, Theresa Trotta, and their children: Timothy Trotta, Thea and Richard Baumann, Tiffany Trotta, Thomas and Sarah Trotta, and Gina Dries whom he also loved as a daughter. His legacy extends to his seven cherished grandchildren: Julien Teeple, Galiana Baumann, Santino Trotta, Anthony Baumann, Giovanina Trotta, Vera Trotta, and Vincent Trotta. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Patricia Bissell, brother David Trotta, and numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends of over 50 years. A memorial gathering to celebrate Robert’s life will take place on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Kedz Funeral Home, located at 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River. Following the gathering, inurnment will occur at 2:30 PM at Ocean County Memorial Park, situated at 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, NJ. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
