Obituary of Charles F. Foley

Charles F. Foley, 77, of Toms River passed away suddenly on Monday, June 3, 2024, at home. Charles was born in Jersey City, NJ and raised in Union City. He graduated from Emerson High School and Montclair State University. After graduation he enlisted in the Army and served as a proud Vietnam Veteran. Charles later went on to receive his master’s degree at Montclair State University and pursued a career in education. He worked as a teacher for the Kinnelon Board of Education for over 25 years before retiring in 2000.
After retirement Charles pursued many activities. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and kayaking. He enjoyed art and painting. He settled in Holiday City Berkeley about a year and a half ago.
Charles is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Ethel Foley, and his son, Patrick Foley.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Foley; brothers, George Foley, John Foley, and Frank Foley; sisters, Eileen Foley, and Patricia Davidson.
A celebration of life for Charles will be announced at a later date.
