Obituary of Anne M. Johnson

Anne Meyer Redyke Johnson, born July 2, 1922, of Manchester, formerly of Wyckoff, passed away Sunday, November 03, 2013 at the age of 91.
Born in Midland Park, NJ she lived all her life in Bergen County until she retired with her first husband, Peter Redyke to Seaville, NJ. There they enjoyed many days at the Ocean City beaches with family and friends. They then moved to Toms River for 3 years prior to Peter's death in January 1999. Anne and Peter were married for 54 years. Anne and her second husband, Bill Johnson, also lived a number of years in Toms River, moving to the Pines at Whiting 2 years ago. Bill passed away in 2012.
Anne attended the Drake School of Business in Ridgewood. She worked as a secretary for the Davis Publishing Co.prior to being married and later worked as a medical secretary for several physicians in Montclair. She attended Valley Bible Chapel in Washington Township, NJ for many years, and was recently in fellowship at the Bethany Bible Chapel in Toms River. Anne was a willing volunteer at church and frequently opened her home to others.
Surviving are three daughters: Nancy Wilhelm of Great Falls, VA, Beverly Dorsey of Bolton, CT, Lynn Patt of Pinellas Park, FL; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, George and Donald Meyer; two sisters, Pearl Klingen and Grace West.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 1:00 pm at The Pines at Whiting, 509 Route 530, Manchester. Interment services will held 11:00 am Saturday at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory to His Mansion, Route 149 & Wolf Hill Road, Hillsboro, NH 03244 or Christian Missions In Many Lands, PO. Box 13, Spring Lake, NJ 07762 would be appreciated. Kedz Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements.
