Obituary of John M. Stefanik

John M. Stefanik, 69 of Toms River passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024, surrounded by his family. John was born in Bayonne but was raised in Elizabeth, NJ where he graduated from St. Mary of the Assumption High School. Moved to Toms River in 1996. He worked as a schedule coordinator for Traffic Plan for 9 years where he dedicated himself to helping others and relieving his fellow coworkers of stressful commutes. John’s pride and joy were his girls but more importantly his five grandsons, he loved to fish and spend time with them. He loved playing the lottery hoping to win big one day, so his family didn’t ever have to worry. John will be remembered and missed for being the generous person he was to many people; he has touched many lives by little deeds never looking for recognition but they never went unnoticed. John is predeceased by his wife, Geraldine Stefanik. He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Stefanik-Martinez and her husband Edward, and Melanie Stefanik, grandsons, Darius, Cassius, Joshua, Isaiah, and Jacob, and his sister, Geraldine Gross. Gathering hours will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 10 – 12 pm at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
