Obituary of Pablo David Rodriguez

Pablo ‘Pop Pop’ Rodriguez, 82, of Manahawkin, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 23, 2024. Pablo was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and raised in New York. He attended Patrick Henry High School. In the early 1960’s he moved to New Jersey. Pablo was a dedicated Sanitation Worker for the city of Linden for 35 years before retiring. After retirement Pablo made sure to stay active by walking daily and riding his bicycle 12 miles per day. He was a diehard New York Mets and boxing fan. He is predeceased by his parents. Pablo is survived by his wife, Madelyn Rodriguez; daughters, Venus Dunbar and her husband Howard, and Diana ‘Bebe’ Rodriguez; sons, Paul Rodriguez and Danny Rodriguez; 13 grandchildren, Brianna, Ariana, Jennifer, Kasey, DJ, Tiffany, Brittany, Stephanie, Paulie, Aly, Amber, Samantha, and Daniel; 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way, and the mother of his children, Diana Dalton. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 9 – 11 am at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ. Private interment to follow at Rosehill Cemetery, 792 E Edgar Road, Linden, NJ.
