Clifford A. Munson, 58 of Toms River , passed away Wednesday, July 1 at Community Medical Center , Toms River .
Clifford had previously been the owner and operator of Gordon’s Restaurant in Forked River (now Caffrey’s Steakhouse). Most recently, Clifford worked as a Food Service Director for several nursing homes in the Monmouth County area and had also recently worked for the Oakwood School in Tinton Falls . He is a graduate of Toms River High School South. Born in New York he lived in the Bronx, moving to Toms River in 1963. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Ann Munson.
He is survived by:
Two Daughters: Dawn Munson-Grinavic and DeeDee Denise McCullough both of Ft. Myers , FL Two Brothers: Craig of Wayside, NJ; and his twin brother Roger. Two Sisters: Gail Brito and Lynn Horner both of Toms River . Four Grandchildren: Matthew, Gary, Joshua and Dylan
Visitation will be held at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River on Monday from 7 pm until the service time at 8:30 pm .
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 1035 Hooper Ave. , Toms River in his memory would be appreciated.
