Obituary of Frank E. Takas

Frank E. Takas, 77 of Brick Township, passed away quietly at his son's home on Monday, November 10, 2014. Frank was an auto mechanic for many years and owned and operated Frank's Complete Auto in West Belmar with his sons. Frank also had his real estate license and sold real estate in the Shore area. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose and a life member of the American Legion. Among his passions in life, he was an avid motorcyclist, enjoyed boating and had many hobbies. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Frank lived most of his life at the Jersey shore. He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, one brother, wives Ann and Sheila, his son Frank M. Takas in 2009 and grandson Paul McKernan, 2014. Surviving are his son Joseph Takas of Brick, NJ: two daughters, Debra Clifford of Ocean, NJ and Lori Bohrer of Philadelphia, PA; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
