John Joseph Mroczka (aka Schmitt) of Toms River, NJ passed away Friday morning, January 30, 2015. John was born September 29, 1916 in Newark, NJ. He worked at Star Electric, Co. in Bloomfield for 20 years as an electric motor winding technician until the company moved to Connecticut. After that he worked at Walter Kiddy Co. as a quality control inspector until his retirement. He served in US Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
He was predeceased by his parents, John J. Mroczka (aka Schmitt) and Anna (Mesco) and his brother Joseph J. Schmitt in 2012.
He is survived by his nephew Daniel P Schmitt and his wife Janet of Northford, CT; grandniece Danielle J. Schmitt of Northford, CT; grandnephew Nathan Shaffer and his wife Linn of Meriden, CT; great grandnieces Mia and Camilla and great grandnephew Thor of Meriden, CT.
A memorial mass will be celebrated 9:15 am on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River. Letters of condolence may be sent by visiting www.kedzfuneralhome.com
