Marie Mazza, (nee: Russo), 98 of Berkeley Twp., beloved mother of Concetta Nittoli, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4 at the Holiday Care Center .
Marie, along with her niece Connie Then, owned and operated the National Dress Co. in Newark for many years before retiring. She was a long standing member of the Mt. Carmel Church Choir in Newark . Born in Italy , she lived her life in Newark before moving to Holiday City , 12 years ago. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 1958 and her sister Michelina Granato.
Marie is survived by:
A daughter: Concetta Nittoli – of Berkeley Twp.
Three grandchildren: Valerie Rosamilia, Patricia Rose and Rocco Nittoli
Seven great-grandchildren: Kenneth Rose, Carissa Rose, Katie Rosamilia, Nicholas. Nittoli, Devon Nittoli, Sara Rosamilia and Caroline Nittoli.
And several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave. , Toms River . A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Friday at St. Maximilian-Kolbe Catholic Church, Berkeley Twp. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery , Toms River .
