Kathryn Elaine Coventry, 65, of Toms River, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at home in Toms River. She was born February 27, 1950 in Lakewood, NJ. Kathryn Served as the Worthy Adviser in the Rainbow Girls at the Toms River Masonic Lodge in her teens. She was also involved in horticulture with 4-H. Kathryn graduated from the Toms River High School, NJ. In 1968. She earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in American History, specializing in New Jersey history, from Glassboro State College, NJ. in 1972. Kathryn worked as a substitute teacher for a number of years, and as the Obstetrics - Gynecology Residency Coordinator and a Union Shop Steward (Teamsters ,Communication Workers of America) at Robert Wood Johnson University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in New Brunswick, NJ. for 20 years, retiring in 2007. She was a huge NASCAR fan, having enjoyed many of the Daytona races track side. Kathryn got her love of New Jersey history and lighthouses from her mother, Kathryn. She resided in Toms River, NJ. & South River, NJ. She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob Birdsall Jones and Kathryn McLaughlin Jones, and two sisters, Mary Beth Jones and Barbara Webber.
She is survived by her husband, James Coventry, niece Tracey Jones, her fiancé Joseph Ditchkus, and their children Kevin, Christopher, Nicole, & Melanie Ditchkus , niece Danielle McGrath, her husband Eddie Scott (ES), and their children Edward (EJ), Steven, & Emily, nephew Matthew Teymant, his wife Amanda and their children Kyler, Keagen, Kaeley, & Kamden, niece Jennifer Teymant, niece Sarah, her husband Joseph Ricciuti.
