Dear Family,
You mother was my 5th grade teacher at Hooper Ave elementary. Several years later, I joined the Army and she contacted me to tell me how proud she was of me. We arranged to have lunch and I treasure that time with her.
She was a spectacular women, teacher and confidant. She was wonderful with children and extremely patient with some of us wild children. I always remembered her as a loving woman who truly cared about her students.
One memory of her was to always tell us to be quiet and she would spell it. Q.U.I.E.T.
I am now a Colonel in the Army and wish I had be able to spend another lunch date with her before she passed. You are blessed you have a wonderful woman in your life for 96 years. God bless your family.
