Obituary of Giogio Donnarumma

Giorgio Donnarumma, 83 of Manahawkin, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2016. Born in 1933 in Pompeii, Italy, Giorgio lived his teenage years in the nearby city of Naples. In 1957 Giorgio came to the United States, settled in Jersey City and very soon afterwards married his long-time friend Marie. While in Jersey City, Giorgio and his wife were very active in many charitable organizations and programs. Giorgio worked as a Production Supervisor at a facility that manufactures products for the dental industry. He retired after 37 years of service. In 1995 Giorgio's wife Marie passed away after a courageous 10-year battle from a disease that originated from complications of a liver transplant. It was after Marie's passing that Giorgio decided to relocate to Manahawkin. A memorial mass will be celebrated 11:00am, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. In lieu of flowers, Giorgio asked that individuals make a donation to either St. Mary of the Pines Church in Manahawkin or St. Mary's Parish in Barnegat, NJ. As per Giorgio's request, he will be cremated and reunited with his wife.
