Lydie Helen Steyermark, 84 of Brick, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Lydie worked for Lever Brothers in Englewood Cliffs, NJ as a secretary for 15 years. Born in Annecy and raised in St. Jorioz, France, Lydie sang opera on the radio before coming to the US in 1963, settling in Queens, New York. She then lived in Hackensack and Haworth before moving to Brick 19 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Georges, in 1981 and a brother, Gaston Vaglio.
Lydie is survived by her son, Anthony Steyermark and his wife Amy Gaviglio; her companion, Dr. Eugene DeAngelis; brother, Andre Vaglio; sister Terese Vaglio; nieces and nephews Liliane Guillemet, Gerard Vaglio, Martine Vaglio, Jean-Francois Vaglio, and Jean-Philippe Vaglio; and her granddaughter Olivia Steyermark.
