Unimaginable loss has hit the Aguilu's again. No words can satisfy the loss, but know that there others near and far who are there to support you at this time of loss and sorrow. My heartfelt condolences.

It's Father's Day and we are all In the midst of celebrating the event with the collective understanding that the true joy of life is found only in love of family. The venue has changed and instead of Brooklyn, the venue has changed to big cousin Joey's house. It's the third year now, and we are wrapping up another great celebration with ALL of us singing and dancing up a storm in Joey's spacious family room. Hey, look how cute Tommy and his girl friend look dancing together. Hey, who knows maybe they will marry some day. Oh my God look how crazy Uncle Denny looks dancing! We love him none the less.
How can life change so devastatingly fast!! How can life be so unfair!!! Why would GOD permit this to happen... WAS NOT NICKY ENOUGH!!!!!!!
How can we believe in a God that seems to be so merciless? How can we not be angry at our lord for subjecting Pop, Joe and Jocey to this travesty??
So I'm sure ur all ready for the answer. Only problem is that I don't have one. I know as mere mortals we do not have the capability of comprehending or understanding the decisions of the divive. Right now that's not cutting it for me. That explanation does nothing to ease the sorrow or more importantly justify the reality of what has happened.
This morning my son Shaun told my wife and I that he will not worry about his throte problems anymore. Dispite surgery, and an array of traditional and non-traditional treatments, things have not improved. Shaun is a musician and I can attest that this throte thing has made him miserable. When I asked him why he felt this way, he said "after seeing what Joey went through I just can't feel bad about my throte anymore". My daughter Patrice has also often mentioned to me that she has felt the consoling presence of Nicky during some of her thoughest times. I also know how much Joey and Nicky loved the cousins, and how equally strong they were loved back.
So how do these two events have relevance of the passing of Joey and Nicky? At the risk of rationalizing I must consider the possibility that these two great kids were taken early in order to serve as Guardian Angels for ALL the cousins. Because this possibility could simple be my sub conscious effort to ease my own sorrow, I am compelled to hold off in solidifying my final opinion about this. Time will tell.......

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will keep Joey with us by remembering his smile and positive way of always facing each day. He was a lucky man to have you both with him for support and help him through the many things he had to face over the years.

Hey Handsome. You fought an unbelievable fight. I must say, I know no one as brave and persistent as you. Rather than want pity, you chose to continue to tell everyone else what they should be doing in their lives. I never knew you had such an incredible strength of character. Yeah, sometimes you drove your parents crazy, but that goes without saying.
So, so many of us will miss your beautiful face and your very sensible words. We all have varied beliefs in the potential hereafter. I see you with lovely angels showing you the ropes and protecting your sweet soul to get to the next step in your journey. No more worrying; no more suffering. You paid your dues. You're good. I love you handsome and always will. I will always pray that you and Nick are able to have each other's backs and watch over all of us. See you again for sure. Until then, enjoy the peace you so deserve. Xoxox Aunt Lorraine
