Obituary of Barbara Johmann

Barbara (Bonnie) Johmann, 71 of Beachwood, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 14, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. Barbara worked for Toms River Schools for about 10 years as an administrative assistant and then as a substitute teacher. She also was an aerobics instructor for over twenty years at the Toms River evening adult school. Subsequently, Barbara worked at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital for 25 years before retiring 4 years ago. Barbara was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and also attended St. Barnabas Church in Bayville. She was born in Paul Kimball Hospital in Lakewood and was a lifelong resident of Beachwood. She graduated from Toms River High School, Asbury Park Business College and received an Associate Degree from Ocean County College. Barbara is survived by her brother Lawrence M. Johmann of Campbell, CA; two nephews, Lawrence M. Johmann Jr. of Hayward, CA and Brian P. Johmann of Livermore, CA; grand nephew, James M. Johmann of Livermore, CA. Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ on Wednesday, January 24 from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be offered at 10:00 am Thursday at the funeral home.
