Dear Carolyn and John,
My condolences on the loss of your father. You must be proud to know he was loved and admired wherever he went. I have many fond memories from our childhood on LBI. Your dad was always quick to laugh and light up a room (a beach) with his grace and charm.

So very sorry. Beautiful writing about his life. I bet he and my dad are up there talking grey bees stuff.

Carolyn & John-
To you and your mom, our sincere condolences on the passing of your dad. He was a great guy and a dear friend of my own parents for many years. I remember him with great fondness. You may not know that he once represented me in court, after I foolishly dared a police officer to arrest me in South Mountain Reservation for public intoxication and curfew violation. (I was 17.) Your father stood beside me in front of the judge, who reprimanded me from the bench but waived all other punishment thanks to the persuasive brilliance of my smooth-talking counsel. It would not be the last time he impressed me with his wit, his charm and his intellect. My dad thought of him as one of his true pals, and of course my mom loved your mom so much!
Please give your mom a hug from me as we send you all love from the west coast.
I will toast your father, a great Irishman, this Saturday!
Best-
Ed

Loved Jack. My first job as an "attorney." Spent the Summer listening to all the stories about Newark, and all the older attorneys and characters that had crossed his path. He was a great raconteur. What a gentleman! So sorry for your loss. Greg Riley
