Obituary of William Andrew Brennan

William Andrew Brennan, 81 of Toms River, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018. Bill was born in Bloomfield, NJ on September 12th 1936 to Florence and John Brennan. Bill married his soul mate Gertrude Schauder on October 22, 1960 and they were married for 46 loving years. Bill and Gertrude were proud parents of their 6 children Mary Ellen, William Jr., Gerard, Timothy, Daniel, and Stephen. William Jr. is survived by his 2 children Christopher (married to Rachel having 2 children Leah and Abbi) and Stephanie (married to Joe Baker). William is survived by his sons Gerard and wife Lucille (Abdoian) having 3 children Matthew, Kevin and Shaun, Timothy and his wife Kathy (Hawtin) having 2 children Kayla and Lauren. Daniel and his wife Eileen (Defalco) having 2 children Bridget and David. Stephen and his wife Eileen (Rafferty) having 4 children Delaney, Trudy, Hugh and Katie. Bill was a proud Korean War veteran and served for 2 years. Life wasn't always easy but Bill and Gert would always forge ahead and act together creating a good life for their family including God, love, laughter and respect for one another in their lives. Dad was always our biggest fan and proudest supporter. Thank you Dad/Pop Pop for wonderful memories and special times that we will keep in our hearts forever having you with us always. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Tuesday at St Joseph Catholic Church, 685 Hooper Avenue, Toms River NJ. Burial at 1:30 at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
