Obituary of Herbert Goldberg

Herbert Goldberg, age 89, of Toms River, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019. He was born in Philadelphia and lived there until moving to Toms River in 1973. Herbert worked for the U.S. government for 30 years as a battery purchasing agent. Herbert enjoyed eating at diners, watching the boats at the inlet, and feeding birds. He was a Phillies fan, and enjoyed going to their baseball games. Herbert also loved going to car shows and taking his grandchildren to see musicals. Herbert was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Kramer Goldberg in 2017. Herbert is survived by daughter Nancy Lamanna and husband Richard of Barnegat; son Richard Goldberg and wife Ofelia of Beachwood; four granddaughters, Tammy Visuvasam of Land O' Lakes, FL, Alison Kastel, Jessalyn Goldberg and Leah Goldberg, all of Beachwood; four great grandchildren, Tyler and Ashton Visuvasam of Land O' Lakes, FL, and Alexis and Kayla Kastel of Beachwood. Services will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Ocean County Memorial Park Cemetery, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, NJ 08753
